Global Communities, formerly CHF International, is an international non-profit organization that works closely with communities worldwide to bring about sustainable change that improves the lives and livelihoods of the vulnerable. Global Communities is seeking Workforce Development Specialist candidates for an anticipated USAID-funded Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The purpose of this Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will focus on implementing robust activities that promote economic growth, reduce poverty, graduate transitional countries from aid to trade, promote open competitive markets, develop the private sector, and mobilize private financing sources to supplement and eventually replace development assistance.
The Workforce Development Specialist will provides assistance and expertise in the designand/or delivery of effective trainings for a variety of learning needs and through flexible, cost-effective approaches, based on a knowledge of best practices and in coordination with technical experts who develop content.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in education, gender/women’s studies, international relations, sociology, or economic development. At least 8 years of relevant experience working in education, training, or capacity building programs in developing countries. Experience in adult learning is required; at least 3 years of experience shall involve working with women’s programs in developing countries. Advanced academic education or training in leadership development, especially for women, highly desired. Strong written and oral presentation skills a must. Excellent strategic planning, project design and management and technical leadership skills relevant to adult learning across sectors; Previous work experience in Islamic countries in general and Afghanistan in particular highly desirable; Previous experience working on donor funded projects desired; USAID preferred. Fluency in English required; second language desired.
