Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in grants administration with working knowledge of grants review/approval and due diligence activities
- At least three years’ experience of financial management and/or accounting experience
- Demonstrated evidence of the review of financial management practices and acquittals of accounts
- Proven experience in facilitating capacity building initiatives
- Preferably experience of working in Grants Management in the Education sector
- Demonstrable experience of working in developing countries, preferably in Tanzania or East Africa

- Previous experience working on large scale education development programs, preferably in Tanzania or East Africa;
- Experience in large scale teacher training programs;
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: teacher professional development, Education policy, planning and management, Girls’ education, primary childhood education and improvement in literacy and numeracy in primary education.

- Experience in working in at least two of the following regions in Tanzania; Dodoma, Kigoma, Lindi, Mara, Rukwa, Shinyanga or Tabora;

- Relevant bachelor’s degree required;
- At least 2 years’ experience in the same role preferably for a development project;
- Minimum three years clerical or administrative experience;
- Knowledgeable in office administration and basic financial systems;
- Proficient in Microsoft office software;
- Proficient in the use of general office equipment;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Can work cooperatively and effectively with others and has the ability to undertake self-directed tasks when necessary.

- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing M&E systems and tools in a multi-faceted large scale program, conducting impact studies and case study development;
- Experience with organizational and institutional assessment and supporting development and performance improvement mechanisms;
- A good understanding of education strengthening programs and a willingness to capacity build staff at a national and sub-national level;
- Tertiary qualifications and or extensive experience in M&E and Education;
- Exceptional report writing skills and a proven ability to deliver reports within timeframes;
- Demonstrable experience of working in developing countries, preferably in Tanzania or East Africa.

Selection Criteria
- Relevant Postgraduate academic qualifications
- Demonstrable experience of working in developing countries, preferably in Tanzania or East Africa in relation to Gender;
- An understanding of the political, economic, social and cultural issues in relation to implementing gender equity policies, best practice and standards in a development environment;
- Knowledge of and experience in utilising national and international women’s networks to deliver high quality advisory support;
- Awareness of UK Government objectives in Africa and DfID development priorities;
- Proven capacity to develop sound working relationships and to work effectively within a professional multi-disciplinary team;
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results to specified deadlines and quality standards linked to evidence-based monitoring and evaluation frameworks;
- Preferably experience in working in one of the following regions of Tanzania; Dodoma, Kigoma, Lindi, Mara, Rukwa, Shinyanga and Tabora.
