The Debt Funding and Corporate Finance Manager will work with the Global Funding Director on coordinating the debt funding of VFI and the MFIs (microfinance institutions). You will have banking experience (preferably in microfinance) and experience with contractual legal frameworks. You will be working with the MFIs and the finance department to forecast funds requirements and working with internal groups to coordiante review and approval processes of borrowings. You will support the Global Funding Director in arranging for debt financing and where necessary hedging mechnisms and transactions to ensure MFIs receive funding on time at the best rate. You will also coordinate the process of review and sign-off of third party funding arrangements and contracts for local MFI funding not passing through VFI. Close relations and coordiantion with WV Treasury are required to ensure efficient funds transfer and lowest cost funding is achieved.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Assist in the coordination of the global debt funding activities among the MFIs
• Analysis of funding projections and coordinating the process of the MFI borrowings between the MFIs and VFI
• Perform initial review of loan agreements and monitor the MFI compliance with various lenders covenants
• Coordinate with the MFI finance managers as needed and act as the liaison between lenders and MFIs to expedite the borrowing process
• Provide periodic analysis reports supporting the global funding activities;
• Participate in providing a full support to the MFIs with regard to capital market activities and borrowings
REQUIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
This role requires 3-5 years finance experience with a mid to large size bank, Microfinance institution, or fund. Able to work in complex legal systems and ensure procedures internally and with thrid parties are well documented, monitored and executed. Creative and helpful at problem solving for both VFI and MFIs. Able to work well with WV internal groups and MFI’s. Microfinance experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance (advanced graduate degree is preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in credit analysis and management, microfinance lending, and debt management experience preferably with a microfinance banking institute/asset manager.
• Familiar with legal documentation of borrowing contracts and banking contractual agreements.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills, particularly in the area of capital markets instruments and financial risk management (derivatives, foreign exchange etc.)
• International experience a definite asset, particularly in emerging/developing markets.
• Fluency in English required, Spanish a plus.
• Flexibility on hours to contact people within wide time zone differences is required.
