VSO is an international non-governmental development organisation that works through volunteers to fight global poverty and justice. Our programmes in Rwanda focus on children in basic education, people with disabilities and youth.
VSO Rwanda is looking to recruit a proactive and highly skilled Rwandan Programme Support Officer to provide comprehensive programmatic, administrative and financial support to the Disability and Youth &National Volunteering Programme Team. Responsibilities will include :
- Be the first point of contact for volunteers and liaise with the finance and logistics teams on accommodation, administration, logistical and financial matters prior to their arrival and during their length of service – ensuring pertinent services are availed in a timely manner
- Ensure that volunteer quarterly, annual, and final reports are received on time, by following up with volunteers, and ensuring they are correctly filed electronically
- Ensure partner and volunteer files are up to date.
- Support Programme Managers in monitoring and evaluation of partner programmes as necessary
- Support planning, training and review workshops, conferences, in-country training and ensure invitations, follow up and liaison with relevant partners, volunteers, VSO Rwanda staff and resource personnel
- Proactively seek and gather information for the programmes and provide regular updates to volunteers and partners on available materials
You will need to have a degree in a related subject preferably in social science, demonstrable experience in working officials in Project/Programme administration and management. Excellent interpersonal and planning skills are essential along with the capacity to work as an effective team player. Self-motivated, with attention to detail and pro-active, you will need strong communication skills (fluency in English and French) and good IT skills.

- Gross monthly salary : Rwf 602,421
