Financial Accounting (Public Sector)Senior Consultant.
The position holder will play a key role in consulting assignments in accounting and financial management, system reviews, internal audits, fund management and financial monitoring.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Assist in business development activities such as expression of interest and proposals
- Responsibility for delivery of client work within the agreed time lines
- Work with the managers in managing projects while developing and mentoring junior team members
Knowledge and Experience
You will have at least 4 years’ experience and exposure in the public sector either in government, development partners, projects, NGOs or in a professional services firm and in;
- Financial management and accounting
- Accounting and financial management system reviews
- External and internal audits
- Financial monitoring and pre – disbursement assessments
- Proposal development
To be successful in this role you must also have;
- Ability to work in diverse multi-cultural environments and must be a team player
- Demonstrable experience in leading projects and diverse teams
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- First Degree in relevant field (with business/accounting/finance orientation) and CPA or ACCA qualification
