The Rwanda Natural Resources Authority (RNRA) is a government institution located in Gasabo District (at Remera Kisementi to CNLG) having been established by the Rwandan Government law N0 53/2010 of 25/01/2011.
RNRA is an authority that heads the management of promotion of natural resources which is composed of land, water, forests, mines and geology. It is entrusted with supervision, monitoring and to ensure the implementation of all issues relating to promotion and protection of natural resources.
In order to implement its mission, the Rwanda Natural Resources Authority is seeking to recruit compentent candidates to fill the following vacant positions in its Departments of Lands & Mapping and Mines &Geology; positions that are in the structure gazetted in the official gazette N0 50bis of 13/12/2010 :
I.LANDS AND MAPPING DEPARTMENT.
1. Professional in charge of land title planning and monitoring (1)
- Rwandan nationality
- Bachelors degree in Business administration, management, strategic planning or other related field
- Tested ability in strategic planning
- Computer skills especially MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Project
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French. Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage.
2. Director of the Land Administration Unit (1)
- Rwandan nationality
- A masters degree in law, land surveying or other land management field with at least 5 years experience in this field. OR
- A Bachelors degree in any of the above fields with 10 years experience.
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French. Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage
3. Professional in charge of Land Registration (5)
- Rwandan nationality
- Bachelor’s level degree in Law or Land Administration, Public administration
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint.
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French. Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage
4. Land Archivist (2)
- Rwandan nationality
- At least an A1 level diploma in library studies, recording, documentation and archiving
- Perfect computer skills
- At least 3-year experience in the field
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French. Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage.
4. Director for Surveying and Mapping Unit (1)
- East African nationality
- Master’s degree in Land Surveying or Geomatics in a related discipline
- At least 5-year experience in the specified field
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and GIS and Remote Sensing software
- Knowledge of English or French ; knowledge of both is an added advantage
5. Senior Surveyor (1)
- East Africa nationality
- Bachelor’s level degree in Land Surveying, Geomatics, cartography, GIS or in a related discipline
- At least 5-years experience in the field of land surveying
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and GIS and remote sensing software
- Knowledge of English or French ; knowledge of both is an added advantage
6. Photogrammetrist (1)
- East African nationality
- Bachelor’s degree in photogrammetry or cartography
- Knowledge in Arc-GIS, photomapping, ERDAS Imaging and other photogrammetric software
- Knowledge of English or French ; knowledge of both is an added advantage
7. Junior Surveyor (1)
- Rwandan nationality
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Survey or in a related discipline
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and GIS and remote sensing software
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French. Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage.
8. Professional in Cartography (1)
- Rwandan nationality
- Bachelor’s level degree in mapping, cartography or Land Surveying
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and ArcGIS or any other mapping softwares
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French. Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage.
9. Director for Land Management and Spatial Planning Unit (1)
- East African nationality
- Master’s degree in land management, urban and regional planning or any other related discipline
- At least 5 year of experience in the field of land management and/or spatial planning
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and ArcGIS
- Knowledge of English or French ; knowledge of both is an added advantage
10. Professional in charge of land valuation (2)
- Rwandan nationality
- Bachelor’s degree in Land Economics, Land Valuation or any related field
- Computer skills, especially knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint and GIS
- Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English or French. Knowledge of English and French is an added advantage.
II. GEOLOGY AND MINES DEPARTMENT
1. Director of Regulation & Supervision Unit (1)
Masters : Mining Engineering, Geology, Metallurgy, Economic Geology, Environmental Science with not less than 5 yrs working experience in mining.
Or A0 in Mining Engineering, Geology, Economic Geology with not less than 10 years working Experience in Mining
2. Setting Standards & Monitoring Officer in charge of Large scale Mining (1)
A0 in Mining Engineering, Geology, Economic Geology, having Masters in any of the above is an added advantage
3. Mines Inspector (5)
A0 in Mining engineering, geology, Mining Law, environmental Science degree relevant to mining, Any pure Science/ engineering degree with Training in OHS or Biochemistry with experience in Mining. Having Masters in any of the above is an added advantage.
4. Registrar of Mining Permits (2)
A0 in Law, Geography ; Geology or other related field
5. Geologist (3)
A0 in Geology, Mining engineering. Masters in any of the courses is an added advantage
6. Technician in Geology (1)
A2 Certificate in Science, with training in Geology
7. Technician in Geophysics (1)
A2 in Science, with training in geology/geophysics
8. Director of Support Services in Mining Investment, and business development (1)
Masters : Economic geology/mining engineering/geology with training in economics or business/Economics or A0 in any of the above course and Economics with more than 5 yrs working experience in Mining business/economics
9. Small scale Mining Promotion (1)
BSC in geology, mining engineering, Economic geology. Having masters in any of the above is an added advantage
10. Value addition Promotion Officer (1)
A0 : Metallurgist/ Chemical Engineer/Mining Engineer/Geologist with experience in Value addition/Economist with experience in natural resources value addition ; Having masters in any of the above is an added advantage
11. Mineral economics Specialist (1)
MSc in Economics/Economic geology with experience in mining environment
12. Director of Petroleum Exploration Unit (1)
Master’s in Petroleum Geology, Geophysics, Petroleum Engineering (all of them with experience of at least two years in petroleum upstream activities), or A0 in the above disciplines with 5 years working experience in petroleum upstream activities.
13. Petroleum Geologist (1)
A0 in petroleum geology or geosciences
14. Exploration Geophysicist (1)
A0 in Geophysics or A0 in Applied Physics with training in Geophysics. Those with A0 in applied physics are encouraged to apply.
15. Petroleum Engineer (1)
A0 or MSc in petroleum engineering have added advantage. Candidates with A0 in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics or Chemical Engineering are encouraged to apply
