GOET-Uganda a registered, non-governmental organization that works with vulnerable children and widows, by providing vocational training for the under privileged, HIV/AIDS awareness ,voluntary counseling and testing for HIV, water projects, education, health, women and community empowerment, children sponsorship programmes, seeks a regional manager in the following countries Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Canada, Denmark, Austria, USA, Sweden, United kingdom, and Switzerland, to entirely to assist the organization in meeting its fundraising goals.
The regional managers will work with the executive director to secure funding, corporate and government funding specifically, this individual will:-
• Write and edit proposals, reports contracts and other correspondence for submission to funders, corporate and government funders.
• Research internal and outside sources for statistics and other information to support proposals.
• Assist in preparing budgets.
• Interact with executive level and programme staff, as well as with corporate staff and government grant representatives.
• Assist in researching private and government funding opportunities
• Participate in discussion with funders in preparation for proposal drafting
Role:
The role of these regional managers will be largely responsible for raising the profile of GOET, and its work to interested groups within the specified countries enclosed.
This will be achieved through relationships with the local community, Schools, Churches and the needy community, pro-actively recruiting and managing volunteers, as well as identifying local fundraising and development opportunities.
This role is part of an operations team covering the whole of Uganda and reporting to The Executive Director as a key player with this team, the successful applicant will be an enthusiastic self starter with excellent communicating / influencing / networking skills and ideally experience of managing a volunteer base and project management.
This role is based on region and so prospective candidates should currently live in the region as no relocation packages are available. Candidates will also require their own transport, and able to support himself/herself in all requirements for which defined expenses will be paid.
The successful applicant will be expected to be fully committed to our Christian ethos and as the post is subjected to a genuine occupational requirement they will need to personally demonstrate a commitment to the Christian faith.
