Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the holder will provide support in the procurement of goods and services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparing the request for quotations, sending out to pre-qualified suppliers and analyzing the quotations or tenders
- Updating all incoming requisitions from the various locations and updating of the requisition register
- Monitoring of stock levels with stores and other departments and taking prompt action, and expediting delivery of goods and services.
- Preparation and Raising of Purchase Orders in ERP
- Maintaining, filing , storage of procurement documents and the safe custody of tender documents
- Assisting in responding to calls and correspondences on inquiries from both internal and external clients
Person Specifications
- Academic Qualifications - Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from a recognized Institution
- Professional Qualifications - Familiarity with the Public Procurement and Disposals Act, 2005
- Experience- 4 year and above prior experience in a similar job in a busy environment
Skills
- Excellent Computer literacy, Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Good record keeping skills and attention to detail
- Change agility (flexible) and ability to follow through on defined tasks
