EngenderHealth Inc. is currently looking for a well-qualified Clinical Advisor for its ABRI projects based in Addis Ababa.

REPORTS TO: Technical Team Leader
JOB SUMMARY:
The Clinical Advisor under the supervision of the Technical Team Leader will provide clinical assistance and guidance for the delivery of comprehensive family planning (FP), comprehensive abortion care (CAC) and sexual reproductive health (SRH) services under each program/projects supported by the country office. The scope of work includes: 1) Responsible for directing and managing the technical programmatic components of the Ethiopia program for improving access and quality for FP/SRH services; 2) Guide the expansion and institutionalization of sustainable, client-centered and gender sensitive FP, CAC and other SRH services in EngenderHealth program/project focus areas; 3) Overseeing and ensuring implementation of FP/CAC/SRH activities as per national and international standards; 4) Capacity building of local counterparts to improve the supply of clinical FP/SRH services including CAC; 5) Provide clinical coaching support for field level program staff and supported health facility providers particularly for the institutionalization of permanent FP/Voluntary surgical contraception. 6) Developing and/or adapting and periodically updating EngenderHealth program staffs and implementing partners on best clinical practices and the state-of-the art technology related to FP/CAC/RH; 7) Promote and assist in service integration particularly in integrating FP with CAC, MCH and HIV service in a client centered and gender-sensitive manner; 9) Participate in training, mobile outreach service and other activities to introduce new technology and procedures consistent with Engender Health medical and program policies; 8) Synthesize data and write reports to disseminate lessons learned and best practices with EngenderHealth Ethiopia experience in improving clinical services for FP/CAC/SRH services.
REQUIREMENT:
- Medical Degree with Certificate of specialty on Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Eight (8+) years clinical service delivery experience in FP/SRH with at least 3 years clinical experience in long acting and permanent family planning service provision (implants, IUCD, tubal ligation and vasectomy). Experience in comprehensive abortion care services is highly recommended.
- Experience in training and coaching/mentoring service providers and in supervision of FP, CAC and other SRH service
- Experience in documentation, presenting findings, results and lessons learned to a variety of audiences

- Ability to travel to and work in focused geographic areas up to 75% of their time as needed
- Strong written and verbal communications skills in English
