Knowledge of European Union procedures WORK CONTEXT Since 2001 Cesvi has promoted various programs for prevention of parent-to-child transmission of HIV, prevention of malaria, support to hospitals and rural clinics and treatment of malnourished children in hospitals. In the Mashonaland Central Province in 2001, Cesvi pioneered the first PMTCT program in a rural setting in Zimbabwe (a program which was later adopted at a national level). Various awareness activities were conducted and kits distributed during the 2008-2009 cholera epidemic. The current healthcare project is taking place in the districts of Centenary. The focus is on training for clinics' medical staff, supporting the Ministry of Health & Child Welfare in decentralizing antiretroviral (ARV) treatment to rural clinics, rehabilitation of some structures, installation of radios for improved communication, provision of medical equipment and supplies for hospitals and clinics, support to AIDS patients and their families.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The collaboration will start on February.
The main duty stations will be Harare, Zimbabwe, with regular field visits.
The person will work under Country Director supervision, in collaboration with the expatriate based in Harare and in collaboration with the rest of CESVI staff working in the country.
Main tasks:
To ensure the implementation of the activities, accordingly to the Project documentation, undertaking the procurement operations according to the donor (UE), CESVI and Local Government rules and procedures.
To guarantee project reports respecting the deadline required by Donors, HQs.
To represent the Project with local authorities, the donor, partners and the other stakeholders involved in the action.
To ensure an efficient office organization and a correct registration of project documentations.
To contribute in the identification and the development of new project proposals in the health sector and/or in the area of intervention.
