National counterpart engineer to assist in Lake Kivu Monitoring
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Assisting in checking if the designs of methane gas extraction facilities comply with existing norms and standards, and the management prescriptions.
- Assisting in collecting relevant data near and on the methane extracting plants.
- Assisting in checking if constructions of methane gas facilities are stable and safe prior to their installation on and under water.
- A university degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related relevant fields.
- 2 years relevant work experience.
- Willingness and ability to contribute to the successful development of the energy sector.
- Should have knowledge about design, construction and operation of technical and industrial facilities and the relevant equipment, machines and processes.
All local counterparts are expected to understudy their assigned expert in the field of expertise throughout the course of the appointment.
