University Lecturer in Plant Sciences
DEPARTMENT OF PLANT SCIENCES in association with Wolfson College
The Department of Plant Sciences proposes to appoint a University Lecturer in Plant Sciences from 1 October 2012 or as soon as possible thereafter. The successful candidate will be offered a Non-Tutorial, Governing Body Fellowship by Wolfson College under arrangements described in the further particulars. The salary will be on a scale currently up to £57,431 p.a.
Applications are welcomed from any individual whose research complements the existing profile of the department. The department is particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals with research interests in Ecology, Evolution or Mathematical Modelling of Development. The successful candidate will be required to carry out research that will contribute to the department’s research reputation; to teach, supervise and examine undergraduate and postgraduate research students, and to contribute to and participate in the administration of the department. As a Fellow of Wolfson College the appointee will also participate in the administration and governance of the college.
