Shell seeks to recruit a Global Consultant Fuels Quality to join its Projects & Technology (Global Solutions Downstream) team in Rijswijk.

Responsibilities: - Provide commercially viable services that add business value for customers in the area of Fuels Product
- Quality encompassing operational support, knowledge transfer, reviews and Product Quality Management support
- Deliver activities such as providing product quality advice,blending advice, operations advice, Bio-Fuels implementation advice and Product master planning
- Providing help desk support for customers
- Teaching training courses at customer sites and centrally
- Traveling (up to 30%) to customer locations plus participation in consultancy studies such as hydrocarbon masterplanning
- Mentoring and guidance to more junior staff members
Requirements:
The position requires a person with solid experience of refining (process/refinery modeling), with a significant portion of that time spent in fuels quality and have a degree in Chemical Engineering.
You should be able to liaise with and influence customers at all levels in the business. Individuals are given freedom, responsibility and support in their work as appropriate, and there will be opportunities to contribute to the development of the group.
We are looking for a person with good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with both Shell and non-Shell customers. You should be able to work alone or as part of a team.
You have a track record in providing services to customers and working in challenging projects environment with associated pressures and demands.
Ability to develop customer relations effectively at appropriate levels in Client organization.
Effective coach & facilitator, listens well and a good communicator.
A competitive remuneration package based on the prevailing conditions, policies and legislation in the Netherlands will be offered for this position. This position will not be offered on expatriate terms.
