National counterpart in geophysics for geothermal development
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- The National counterpart Geophysicist, together with the Chief Geophysicist will develop a sustainable business model that would deliver over 300 MWe of steam equivalent for Rwanda to achieve geothermal expansion plan in the next 7-15 years.
- The National counterpart Geophysicist should be highly dynamic and visionary with the responsibility of enhancing EWSA institutional capacity, management and administrative activities relating to geothermal development.
- An undergraduate degree in Physics/Geophysics and a Master’s degree in the same field.
- Post graduate training in Geothermal Technology would be an added advantage.
- 2 years relevant work experience with a minimum of 1 year work experience in exploration and development.
- Experience in exploration, project management and evidence of ability to develop staff.
Strong track record in technology research, knowledge transfer to other staff and location of high production wells.
All local counterparts are expected to understudy their assigned expert in the field of expertise throughout the course of the appointment.
